North Marcum Beach at Rend Lake


I love finding a good photography location. Rend Lake outside of Benton, Illinois is one of my favorite spots to do photo sessions because of the amazing variety of backdrops I can use.


We started Ruby's one year photo session at North Marcum. I originally wanted to go down by the beach, but found a nice hidden path while finding a place to park. A short walk led us to a nice view, and lots of variety. This baby is so full of smiles and I think I really overshot at this session!

Twin Oaks and a more intimate moment

Our next location was Twin Oaks outside Benton, Illinois. There we did some precious breastfeeding photos to give this mama some very special and tangible photos to remember this amazing season with Ruby. I also wanted to get some shots of just Stephanie as she was just so radiant. I absolutely love these photos, and love how tastefully and yet intimate they came out.
